The 2016-17 MTN8 will kick-off on August 25 at the Cape Town Stadium as Kaizer Chiefs arrive in the Mother City for a match against Cape Town City.
Kaizer Chiefs, who lost to another Cape side in last season’s MTN8 final, will be determined under pressure to deliver silverware this season after a dismal 2015-16 campaign which yielded little under Steve Komphela.
Chippa United will make their maiden appearance in the MTN8 competition when they travel to Rustenburg to play Platinum Stars at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium the following day before league runners-up Bidvest Wits host Orlando Pirates at the Bidvest Stadium at 20:15.
On Sunday, August 28, reigning champions Mamelodi Sundowns will be at home Loftus Stadium against neighbours SuperSport United in the Tshwane derby. The match will kick-off at 15:00.
