Bloemfontein Celtic have announced that the club has promoted four youngsters to join the senior team ahead of the new season.

Goalkeeper Sipho Chaine, right back Matshego Nyapoli, left back Keabetswe Mabe and midfielder Kobedi Kobedi have all been promoted to the first team after signing five-year deals with the club.

The young lads have been part of the pre-season and subsequently impressed with their maturity and the ability to compete at the higher level, reports the Bloemfontein Celtic website.

Siwelele has also signed striker Sydney Masana who was in the books of Mthatha Bucks.

Celtic COO Chabeli Motsamai says Siwelele has one of the best youth development structures in the country and he believes that promoting youngsters to the senior team will help build the club’s future.

‘Our development structure has been one of the best in the country looking at the number of players we have natured and clearly giving youngsters the opportunity to perform at the higher level symbolises our seriousness as a brand to build for the future,’ Motsamai said.

Motsamai continued to say that promoting players like Chaine and Nyapoli will motive the younger players to work harder to earn themselves a senior contract with the club.

‘In addition, both Chaine and Nyapoli come from Bloemfontein and it makes us happy to see local boys working hard to earn contracts with our senior team. With these type of talented players, the future looks bright and their promotion has encouraged their peers to even work harder’ he added.

Celtic have already acquired the services of Cheslyn Jampies, Mpho Maruping, Deon Hotto, Khethokwakhe Masuku, Tlou Molekwane, Atusaye Nyondo and Sibusiso Mxoyana ahead of the new season.

Meanwhile, Keamogetse Wolff, Wade Jooste, and Alushavhiwe Marubini have all been released by the club, while Julius Likontsane and Thabang Matuka will be loaned for the season.
