Kaizer Chiefs have decided not to renew Joseph Molangoane and Kabelo Mahlasela’s contracts, and confirmed that Mamelodi Sundowns-bound George Maluleka will also leave after not signing a short-term extension to complete the season.
The club announced this on Tuesday afternoon on the eve of the expiry of the respective deals.
Chiefs will be looking to clinch their first piece of silverware in six years when the season resumes, but will do so without Maluleka who played 24 times across all competitions for the Glamour Boys this season.

The midfielder signed a pre-contract with the Brazilians back in March, opting against extending his deal at Naturena despite the club wanting to keep him.
Sundowns may finally confirm the signing now that Maluleka’s deal has expired.
The club also confirmed Mahlasela’s departure, with the winger already on loan at Polokwane City and expected to sign a permanent deal with Rise and Shine.
‘Kabelo Mahlasela has left the Club as his contract was not renewed. We wish him all the best at Polokwane City FC and going forward,’ a statement on the club’s official Twitter account read.
