Chippa United and Bloemfontein Celtic were forced to share the spoils after playing out a goalless draw in their Absa Premiership clash at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Tuesday.
The first real opportunity of the match came in the 14th minute when Daniel Akpeyi was forced into making a fine save to deny Phunya Sele Sele in front of goal.
Siwelele were on the front foot once again in the 33rd minute when striker Fiston Abdul Razak fired a shot at goal but Akpeyi was on hand against to keep the score level at 0-0.
Heading into the half-time interval, neither side could breaking the deadlock with the scoreline even at 0-0 with Celtic enjoying more scoring opportunities than the hosts.
Shortly after the half-time, Menzi Masuku nearly opened the scoring with a shot from just outside the box but the Chippa midfielder sent his effort well over.
The Chilli Boys came the closest to opening the scoring in the last 10 minutes of the match when Thembinkosi Lorch fired a shot at goal but his effort was denied by the woodwork as both sides were forced to settle for a point each.
