Marc van Heerden opened the scoring for the visitors at the Peter Mokaba Stadium with a trade mark free kick in the 30th minute.
David Zulu made it two in the 58th minute burying the ball in the back of the net from a good Thembinkosi Lorch cross. Lorch went close before Mbulelo Wambi tapped home a rebound after Van Heerden’s shot was not dealt with Baroka number one Oscarine Masuluke.
Ndivhuwo Ravhuhali pulled one back for the hosts but by the time he scored in the 80th minute, the match was far beyond the PSL newbies.
With the game stretched Lorch got his name onto the scoresheet in the 90th minute to round off a commanding performance from Dan Malesela’s impressive unit.
SuperSport United failed to keep 11 men on the field and hold onto their lead as they settled for a point at the Princess Magogo Stadium.
Kingston Nkhatha opened the scoring in the 13th minute after Thuso Phala sent him clear and the Zimbabwe international doing the rest as he rounded the goalkeeper and slotted home.
SuperSport were made to pay for failing to turn dominance into goals as Omnisor Bhasera was sent off in the 66th minute for a second bookable offence before Wayde Jooste beat Ronwen Williams from the penalty spot 10 minutes later, lacing Stuart Baxter’s side to fight for a point.
The draw bumped Arrows into second place behind Kaizer Chiefs, both sides have 10 points but Amakhosi’s superior goal difference sees them go top.
