Maritzburg United assistant coach Fadlu Davids is confident his side are up for the challenge when they take on Cape Town City at the Cape Town Stadium on Tuesday.
The Team of Choice successfully completed the first part of their trip to Cape Town after defeating Ajax Cape Town 2-1 on Saturday.
‘The game against Ajax was a difficult game. We had to forget about their log position because we know they are a good side,’ 35-year-old Davids told the Maritzburg United website.
‘We are approaching CTC with the same positive mentality, knowing they are doing very well and their confidence is high.’
The former Chippa United assistant coach believes his side will be up for it coming off the back of a victory.
‘The boys are looking forward to this game. The victory against Ajax did a lot of good for our confidence.
‘The youngsters Bandile Shandu, Devon Saal, Lebohang Maboe and Luyanda Ntshangase have all fitted perfectly into the philosophy, hence they made it into the starting lineup. They are quick and carry out instructions perfectly.’
Maritzburg against Cape Town City kicks off at 19:30.
