Maritzburg United coach Roger De Sa believes Bandile Shandu will go on to become a ‘superstar’ in the Absa Premiership.
Shandu, who previously captained the MDC team and has become a first-team regular, having signed a three-year deal with an option to renew his contract with the club.
The 52-year-old coach has heaped praise on the youngster and has been impressed with his work rate during training Head Coach Roger De Sa is also very impressed with the youngster.
‘Having watched him a little bit during the season and now trained with him for the last week, he is definitely special talent with so much to offer,’ De Sa told the Maritzburg United website.
‘It’s also good for the City. The more we can have like this the better. We want to grow our own players and show what the City is all about. I think he is going to be a superstar, I really do.’
Maritzburg United will next take on Polokwane City at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in the Absa Premiership on February 8.
Kick-off has been set for 19:30.
