Platinum Stars MDC coach Keleabetswe Diale believes the pressure has been eased after claiming her first victory of the season against Baroka.
The Dikwena coach earned her first victory following a 4-1 win over Baroka in the MultiChoice Diski Challenge at the Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace on Sunday.
Diale admits he is delighted to have clinched her first three points in the MDC, and insists that the pressure has been somewhat lifted from herself and the team.
‘I am happy about the three points,’ Diale told the Platinum Stars website.
‘A little bit of pressure is going on. Not the whole pressure because we are still there at the bottom. At least what I have been complaining about – not scoring – was taken care of. At least we managed to score. Pressure is still there but is low. The boys managed to smile and celebrate. It was great to see that.’
What was even more encouraging for Diale is that her troops managed to put four past Baroka FC. She believes the scoreline speaks of the potential of her team.
Diale added that putting four goals past Baroka proves that the club has the potential and ability to create and score their chances.
‘I have been saying all the time that “we created” but this time we were able to convert. It shows that we have the potential but from the previous games, luck was not there. We have great potential in the team. The ability is there.’
