Former Mamelodi Sundowns star Phil Masinga believes the side can go all the way in the Caf Champions League.
The Brazilians are currently in control of Group B having recorded victories over both Enyimba and Zamalek. The group contains just three sides following the expulsion of Algerian side Setif.
‘I think with the way they have played away from home against Zamalek, automatically it will build their confidence and they will start believing that they can go as far as the final and win the final of the Champions League,’ Masinga told Goal.
Downs’ next clash in competition comes when they face Zamalek again on Wednesday, this time at home.
‘I think they should just go out there and attack them. I mean, when you are playing at home, you’ve got the 12th man in the team,’ Masinga said.
‘They just have to go there and entertain their supporters and make sure that they get the three points. They should play their attacking game that they normally do.’
Masinga was insisted the side should be positive in the clash.
‘They mustn’t hold back trying to go for a draw of some sort. They should go out for a win,’ Masinga concluded.
The match will be played at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium.
Kick-off is from 19:30.
