Bloemfontein Celtic has confirmed that defender Mthokozisi Dube has been recalled to Orlando Pirates by new head coach Muhsin Ertugral.
The 23-year-old spent the whole of last season on loan at Celtic while making 11 appearances in the Absa Premiership for Siwelele, ending the season in 11th place.
Dube was one of three players recalled back to the Buccaneers squad by Ertugral including the likes of Thembinkosi Lorch and Gladwin Shitolo.
The players will now report for their pre-season training, where the former Mpumalanga Black Aces coach will assessing his squad.
Celtic CEO Khumbulani Konco has confirmed that Dube has gone back to Gauteng, adding that his club may still make a move for his return to the City of Roses.
‘He has gone back to Pirates,’ Konco told KickOff.com.
‘We are still interested in keeping him next season and we will send a request to Pirates,’ he added.
