Orlando Pirates coach Muhsin Ertugral has admitted he is pleased with the squad he has at his disposal.

The Buccaneers have added 12 players to their ranks this transfer window and the new coach is confident his squad has sufficient depth to challenge over the course of the season. With the window set to close at midnight on Wednesday, it appears Pirates will not be making any further additions.

‘I think we have a very big squad to sustain us the whole season because obviously we won’t be playing in Africa that would’ve been a different perspective,’ Ertugral told the press, reports Goal.

‘I also want to look a little bit more into our MDC team from this season which I have taken on. I have already promoted youngster which you can already see he is very exciting, he added.

Ertugral explained that he was happy to wait until the January transfer window to make further signings should any shortcomings in his unit begin to emerge.

‘As far as transfers go, we are settled because we have in every position two or three players fighting for a position,’ he explained.

Pirates have had a mixed start to the season as they recorded a convincing 3-1 victory over Golden Arrows in their Premiership opener before falling to defeat against Bidvest Wits in the MTN8.
