Cameroon legend Samuel Eto’o believes that former Konyaspor teammate Lebogang Manyama was one of the best player at the Turkish Super Lig outfit.

Manyama arrived at Konyaspor during the 2017/18 season after securing a move from Cape Town City.

The 29-year-old struggled for game time at the Turkish outfit and only managed to bag two goals from 10 appearances in all competitions before securing a move to Kaizer Chiefs the following season.

Eto’o admits that Manyama was of of his ‘best teammates’ he has played alongside, but insists that he was not given enough opportunities to prove himself.

‘He is one of the best players,’ Eto’o was quoted as saying by Times Live.

‘He was a good teammate but the problem was that the coach didn’t give him the opportunity [to showcase his talent]. When he came to the training grounds, I asked myself why is this guy not playing? He was one of the best teammates I had.’
