SuperSport United captain Dean Furman insists he is impressed with the club’s new signings, especially the likes of former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Reneilwe Letsholonyane.
Matsatsantsa have recently acquired the services of players including Letsholonyane, Onismor Bhasera, Cole Alexander, and Thabo Mnyamane to bolster their squad ahead of the new season.
The 28-year-old insists that United are in good shape ahead of their Absa Premiership opener against Platinum Stars at Royal Bafokeng Stadium on August 24.
‘The team is progressing very well,’ Furman told the SuperSport United website.
‘We are working very hard in the build up to the Platinum Stars game to make sure we are ready physically and tactically.
‘The new players are settling in very well. In Reeyad (Pieterse), Keegan (Ritchie), ‘Bash’ (Bhasera), ‘Yeye’ (Letsholonyane), Cole Alexander and Thabo Mnyamane we have made excellent additions to the squad and we are seeing the qualities they possess every day.’
The Bafana Bafana midfielder went on to praise Letsholonyane’s quality insisting that his ability and experience will be of great value to the team.
‘The qualities Yeye adds to the squad go beyond his exceptional ability on the pitch. He has great experience, he is hugely respected by everyone, he is a leader and of course a winner! We are all delighted to have him with us,’ he added.
Kick-off has been set for 19:30.
