Siboniso Gaxa has sought legal action to resolve the dispute concerning his supposed contract with Kaizer Chiefs and its possibly illegal rescinding.

The 32-year-old defender was startled to learn last month that he was one of a large number of players whose contracts at the club would not be renewed, despite having signed a 2-year extension on his deal the previous year.

‘Pa’s (Gaxa) issue is now sub judice because we got a letter last week from some law firm representing him. This matter is now sub judice so I cannot comment further because it might be going to the DRC,’ Chiefs’ football manager Bobby Motaung has said, reports KickOff.

Gaxa’s representatives, meanwhile, remain positive the player is still contracted to the club.

The former Bafana Bafana right back has been with the Glamour Boys for four years and made 26 appearances for the side last term.
