SuperSport United midfielder Anthony Gordinho has reportedly signed a new three-year contract with Matsatsantsa.
The 21-year-old, who is the younger brother of Kaizer Chiefs defender Lorenzo Gordinho, is eager to impress Matsatsantsa coach Stuart Baxter after featuring in the MultiChoice Diski Challenge last season.
‘I would like to contribute by helping the team to win silverware this season, and also work hard to make as many appearances as I can,’ Gordinho told Benoni City Times.
‘I am looking forward to playing with everyone in the team, as each player has different qualities that I respect.’
Gordinho went on to praise Baxter, insisting that he knows exactly how to get the best performance from his players.
‘He is a great coach who knows how to get the best out of us,’ he added.
The midfielder started football career playing for Benoni Northerns, before making a move to the Orlando Pirates development side.
Gordinho had a spell at both Kaizer Chiefs and Ajax Cape Town’s development sides before joining the SuperSport reserve team, playing in the Multichoice Diski Challenge.
