AmaZulu have confirmed the signing of Mbongeni Gumede from Orlando Pirates on a permanent deal.
The defender has put pen to paper on a three-year contract with the National First Division side after enjoying an impressive loan spell in Durban last season.
‘We’re pleased to announce that we’ve agreed matters with Orlando Pirates and we’re delighted to have Shoes come on a permanent basis,’ Usuthu general manager Lunga Sokhela told the AmaZulu website.
Gumede will join up with coach Joey Antipas’ pre-season camp next week ahead of Usuthu’s pre-season tournament in Richards Bay.
