Platinum Stars are hoping to re-sign defender Tshepo Gumede from Orlando Pirates after one season with the Buccaneers.
The 25-year old has failed to cement a place in the Buccaneers first-team since joining the club in the beginning of the 2015-16 season.
The Sea Robbers have already capture the signatures of defenders James Okwuosa and Limbikani Mzava to strengthen their defence.
Dikwena have parted ways with a number of players including Thabiso Semenya, Tlou Segolela and Letladi Madubanya in a bid to create space for new signings, reports KickOff.
‘Yes it’s true, Platinum Stars want Gumede back to the club. It will all depend on negotiations with Pirates,’ a club official at Dikwena confirmed.
This season Gumede has only managed to make six appearance for the Soweto giants, while Pirates finished the Absa Premiership season in seventh place on the PSL table.
