Highlands Park have decided against signing Mwape Musonda from Orlando Pirates while Franklin Cale remains on trial at the club.
The 25-year-old spent the whole of last season on loan at Golden Arrows and started training with Highlands last month with a view to earning a contract under head coach Allan Freese, reports KickOff.com.
Highlands director Larry Brookstone has confirmed that the former Zanaco forward’s trials at the club has ended.
‘Musonda is no longer training with us. Cale is still here and we will see in the next two weeks if we sign him or not,’ Brookstone said.
Meanwhile, Cale, who started his trial at the same time as Musonda, remains at the club in the hopes of earning a permanent contract with the Lions of the North.
