Bidvest Wits coach Gavin Hunt was disappointed with his side’s unconverted chances against SuperSport United.

The Clever Boys fell 2-0 to Matsatsantsa via second-half goals by Clayton Daniels and Thabo Mnyamane at Mbombela Stadium on Tuesday.

Unhappy about his side’s unconverted opportunities in the final third, the 52-year-old said they should have put the game to bed in the second half.

‘It’s disappointing. To be fair, we had the best chances. We could have made it 2 or 3-0 before they ever scored,’ Hunt said after the match.

‘It should have been 2-0. I mean the opportunities that Daine [Klate] and [Hellings] Mhango had and the other one, I mean gee whizz. So, we had two or three great chances.’

Hunt also felt they lacked focus in defence and should have been more alert.

‘Then the first goal, I don’t know, it looked like a lot of pulling and pushing, the ball bouncing in the six-yard box, I couldn’t believe it.

‘The second goal was a world-class goal, can’t do anything about that. In saying that we should have been up comfortably and in no danger.’

Bidvest Wits take on Cape Town City at the Bidvest Stadium in the Absa Premiership on Friday.

Kick-off has been set for 20:00.
