Bidvest Wits coach Gavin Hunt believes the race for the Absa Premiership title is ‘wide open’ with this season’s title contenders yet to be determined.
The Clever Boys current sit second on the Absa Premiership standings with 24 points from 14 matches with two games in hand over leaders Cape Town City.
The 52-year-old believes the Absa Premiership is an open book at the moment and the title contenders will only be revealed once every team has played the same amount of matches.
‘The race is wide open this year anybody can win it. Until everybody has played the same number of games we will get a realistic situation,’ Hunt said.
‘At the moment, it is a bit of plastic situation, we don’t know where everybody is.’
Bidvest Wits will be hoping to return to winning ways when they take on Maritzburg United at the Harry Gwala Stadium on Tuesday.
Kick-off has been set for 19:30.
