Mamelodi Sundowns Lucky Mohomi midfielder insists that he is delighted to have signed for the Brazilians ahead of the new season.
The 25-year-old recently signed a three-year contract with Sundowns following his move from former side Free State Stars.
The former Garankuwa United midfielder is expected to link-up with his new teammates for pre-season training before the end of the week.
The Mamelodi-born midfielder insists that playing for a club like Sundowns in his hometown is a dream come true.
‘I have always wanted to play for Sundowns,’ Mohomi tells KickOff.com.
‘I like the brand of football played here. It’s a dream come true.
‘I am also from Mamelodi, and I wanted to be amongst the few players from ekasi to play for Sundowns.’
Mohomi has been touted as a replacement for Bongani Zungu who is heading to Portugal next season, yet the former Garankuwa United man has a different opinion.
‘I am not coming to Sundowns to replace anyone, but to play my own football,’ he added.
During his time at Ea Lla Koto, Mohomi has managed to net four goals while created one assist from 30 appearances in all competitions.
Mohomi has helped Stars secure their Absa Premiership status for the new season after finishing the 2015-16 season in 12th on the PSL table.
