Former Mpumalanga Black Aces defender Ashraf Hendricks is on the hunt for a new club after his contract at Amazayoni expired in June.
The 31-year-old will be hoping that a club from Johannesburg will snap him up following his departure from Aces, according to KickOff.com.
‘I’m still looking for something in Jozi, I’m currently a free agent,’ Hendricks said.
‘I want a PSL club. I still have a few years left, I’m only 31 years old. I spoke to one or two teams but I haven’t received any feedback as yet. Highlands Park mainly, but they already signed like 12 (players). It’s very frustrating but I just have to believe and wait.’
Hendricks insists he is finally fully fit after suffering an ankle injury that left him sidelined for three months and he believes that clubs in the Absa Premiership knows exactly what to expect from the veteran defender.
‘The last team I played for was Mpumalanga Black Aces last season, I played 15 games. Unfortunately I was out for three months with an ankle injury,’ he added
‘But I’m fully fit now as I’ve already played the last five games for Aces. PSL clubs know what I’m capable of, I have been in the PSL for more than 10 years now.’
