The wife of Orlando Pirates midfielder Issa Sarr, Felicia Kotze, was arrested for allegedly trying to defraud the bank she works at.

The transgression which involves Kotze, who is also identified as Felicia Sarr, and a man from Midrand who she is said to have been working to get R200 000 from the First National Bank.

The wife of the Buccaneers midfielder, who works at the FNB branch in Boulders, allegedly aided the man in applying for a loan from FNB using fraudulent documents.

The scam was detected by the bank before the loan could be approved.

A Sandton police spokesman Gransville Meyer told Sunday World: ‘I can confirm that a fraud case was opened in March 2018 and that two suspects were arrested.’

‘It is alleged that one of the suspects was using forged and false information in applying for a loan at FNB. The case is currently under investigation and more information will be available when the investigations are complete.’
