The 53-year-old swapped jobs with Golden Arrows coach Clinton Larsen midway through the 2015-16 campaign, helping Celtic to an 11th place finish in the Absa Premiership.

Jampies insists the development structure at Celtic shows how dedicated they are to building the team for the future.

‘The set-up reminds me of that at Ikamva (Ajax Cape Town), professional and well-orchestrated development structures that show the seriousness of the team about its future,’ Jampies told the Bloemfontein Celtic website.

When asked if the coach has outlined his plans to the players already, Jampies says that Letsoaka has explained it to some extent.

‘Partly so, but hey, we have such a knowledgeable, passionate and futuristic mentor who always emphasises on the significance of committing oneself for the benefit of the team. Together with his technical team, they have vast experience that will make us prosper.’

Despite being a left back, Jampies revealed that he is hoping to score goals for Siwelele this season.

‘As you can see, I have already started with extra personal training. The playing system here at Celtic will require a lot of energy and commitment. As much as I’m a defender, I also want to help the team by scoring goals; hence I am practicing free-kicks.’

The 26-year-old impressed at Jomo Cosmos last season earning him a maiden Bafana Bafana call-up while featuring in 25 matches and scoring twice in all competitions for the Dube birds.
