Bidvest Wits veteran goalkeeper Moeneeb Josephs has dismissed suggestions of him retiring from football.

Josephs has enjoyed a sterling career, in the colours of Cape Town Spurs, Ajax Cape Town, Orlando Pirates and Bidvest Wits, since making his professional debut back in 1997, reports KickOff.com.

The 36-year-old is currently in his second stint with the Clever Boys insists he is still enjoying playing football and has no intention of hanging up his gloves anytime soon.

‘As soon as I see an article that in the media saying “Moeneeb is slow” then I will know I’m f**ked up,’ Josephs said.

‘But no, listen man, I’m still enjoying it and I’m sure you can see on the field that I’m still hungry; I’m passionate and I’m fired up.

‘And as long as that is the case I will keep playing.’

The former Bafana Bafana shot-stopper insists that his desire to continue to play comes from playing at the highest level, insisting that he will retire when he no longer performance at his best.

‘I’m enjoying each and every game, and being able to play at the highest level is very important to me,’ he added.

‘The minute I know I’m not giving my level best then I will know it’s time to throw in the towel.’
