Mamelodi Sundowns captain Hlompho Kekana is confident his side can lift every trophy this season after progressing to the quarter-finals of the Telkom Knockout Cup.
The Brazilians booked their spot courtesy of goals by Kekana and Themba Zwane following their 2-0 victory over Polokwane City on Thursday.
The 31-year-old says he was delighted with the victory and is proud of what his side has achieved this season.
‘We should be proud of ourselves, with the kind of performance we are putting in week in, week out. We really deserve this achievement,’ Kekana said after the match.
‘I’m happy for the boys. We won the Africa Cup. We can’t ask for more.’
Kekana wants them to remain humble and try to claim every trophy on offer this season, having already clinched the CAF Champions title.
‘With this kind of performance, we can still lift every trophy. But we must humble ourselves and take one game at a time. Our mentality is very good. We’re respecting the game,’ he added.
Mamelodi Sundowns against Cape Town City kicks off at 15:30.
