Kaizer Chiefs coach Steve Komphela says his side’s next fixture against Free State Star is crucial as Amakhosi seek their third consecutive victory in the Absa Premiership.

The Glamour Boys looks to have found their feet in the Absa Premiership after recently recorded two straight wins against Highlands Park and Maritzburg United in succession.

The 49-year-old admits that coming up against Ea Lla Koto won’t be an easy challenge but he will be hoping Amakhosi can reproduce their recent form.

‘This is a crucial match for us,’ Komphela told the Kaizer Chiefs website.

‘It is not going to be easy. We hope things have turned in our favour after the encouraging wins in our last two matches.’

Komphela says he is well aware of the threat Stars possesses but admits that Ea Lla Koto’s tactics are unpredictable.

‘They are a difficult team to predict,’ he added. ‘We have to go there mindful of the threat they pose.’

Komphela also confirmed that striker Ryan Moon will be sidelined for a period of six weeks after undergoing a knee surgery on Monday.
