Golden Arrows coach Clinton Larsen was disappointed at the outcome of his side’s clash with Ajax Cape Town following their narrow defeat on Saturday.
Abafana Bes’thende lost 1-0 to the Urban Warriors after veteran striker Nathan Paulse scored an 85th-minute goal at Cape Town Stadium.
The 45-year-old coach was underwhelmed when his side conceded a late goal in a match seemingly destined for a goalless draw.
‘A very disappointing result when you look at the match holistically. Our goalkeeper was on holiday until we conceded from a very dubious penalty decision late in the game,’ Larsen told the Golden Arrows website.
‘We were well organised and neutralised any attacking threat posed by our opponents, but we let ourselves down as we had no rhythm and fluidity in our attacking play.
‘We deserved at least a point, so it’s back to the training field to prepare for our next match.’
Golden Arrows next meet Bidvest Wits in the Absa Premiership at the Chatsworth Stadium on 14 December.
Kick-off has been set for 19:30.
