Kaizer Chiefs forward Emmanuel Letlotlo has revealed that he will not put unnecessary pressure on himself to do well with the Amakhosi senior team.

The 20-year-old striker was promoted to the Amakhosi first team to bolster his side’s attacking options.

He was rewarded with a three-year contract with the senior team after finishing the MultiChoice Diski Challenge as the top scorer with nine goals.

Letlotlo expressed his gratitude toward coach Steve Komphela for giving him the opportunity at gaining first team experience.

‘I can say pre-season has been tough, we expected to work hard during the pre-season … we are now waiting to start the new season so that we can play,’ Letlotlo told Goal.com.

‘I am happy to be here at Chiefs, to join such a big club. I thank coach Steve [Komphela] for bringing me to the first team and it’s all because of my hard work on the field of play.’

The MDC top scorer went on to say that he intends to put no pressure on himself and enjoy his football, playing in the Absa Premiership.

‘I will just have to play and put no pressure on my shoulders. I would like to achieve a lot with the first team,’ he added.

‘I enjoy working with coach Steve because he understands us as youngsters. The senior players told me to play my normal game, the way I enjoy and use my style.’
