Bloemfontein Celtic coach Serame Letsoaka was not pleased with his side’s poor decision making during their defeat against Golden Arrows.

Phunya Sele Sele are still in search for their first win in the Premiership this season following their 2-1 defeat against Abafana Bes’thende on Sunday.

Despite creating numerous goalscoring opportunities in both halves, the hosts failed to thoroughly test Arrows shot-stopper Patrick Tignyemb.

Letsoaka believes his side could’ve put the game to bed in the first half but could not capitalise on their opportunity.

However, he believes Siwelele was more compact in the second half after conceding a goal.

‘I think we could have wrapped up the game in the first half, and in the second half that could have happened,’ Letsoaka said after the match.

‘But immediately after conceding the second goal we didn’t have enough width. They [Arrows] were compact in the central area and we still tried to go through the centre.

The 53-year-old says his players had become a bit ‘too desperate’ as they went in search of an equalising goal.

‘But the pressure of having to get the equaliser, you know with the players, it will always be a question of making sure that their desperation [is in check] and they become too desperate,’ he added.

‘There was also some poor decision making [in the final third] because we were desperate.’

Bloemfontein Celtic take on Platinum Stars in the Absa Premiership on October 15.
