Golden Arrows midfielder Kudakwashe Mahachi says that his team will make use of their chance to beat Orlando Pirates in their Telkom Knockout Cup quarter-finals clash.
Abafana Bes’thende began their Absa Premiership with an opening defeat against the Buccaneers and they have now been drawn against the Soweto giants the knockout tournament.
However, the 23-year-old midfielder says his side will grab the opportunity of redeeming themselves against the Sea Robbers in the hopes of advancing into the next round of the tournament.
‘This is a knockout and you only have one chance,’ Mahachi said.
‘We will use that chance to win the game and progress to the next round.’
Mahachi says that the most important thing that matters in the TKO is scoring goals and he believes that is crucial to any team’s success in the tournament.
‘For us, it’s a fair draw as we are all playing in the same league and we know each other as teams. Every team wants to win and we also want to win. This is a cup game and goals are what matters,’ he added.
After the international break, Golden Arrows will face Chippa United in the Absa Premiership at the Prince Magogo Stadium on October 15.
Kick-off is scheduled for 15:30.
