South Africa midfielder May Mahlangu has completed a permanent move to Premier Liga side Ordabassy after a successful loan spell at the Kazakhstan-based club.
The 30-year-old has now put an end to speculation over his future after signing a two-year contract at Ordabassy.
Mahlangu spent the whole of last season on loan in the Kazakhstan top flight from Bulgarian outfit Ludogorets Razgrad, helping them to a third-place finish in the Premier Liga and as a result qualification for the 2020-21 Uefa Europa League.
Over the course of his career, Mahlangu has scored 27 goals and assisted a further 15 in 305 appearances across all competitions playing for the likes of IFK Hässleholm, IFK Hässleholm, IFK Göteborg, Konyaspor, Sint-Truidense VV, Dinamo Bukarest, PFK Ludogorets Razgrad and Ordabassy.
The club has since released the following statement:
‘Midfielder from South Africa, May Mahlangu, signed a new agreement with the club and will continue to play for Shymkents.
‘Last season, Mahlangu spent in the Ordabasy, he featured in 29 matches, scored three goals and registered two assists.’
