Chippa United coach Dan Malesela say he was disappointed in the outcome of his side clash against Polokwane City following their 1-0 defeat in the Absa Premiership on Wednesday.
The Chilli Boys fell to a defeat at the hands of Rise and Shine following a superb free-kick by Polokwane captain Jabu Maluleke in the 82nd minute of the match.
The 51-year-old says that he expect his side’s clash against Polokwane to be a difficult battle and he insists that he predicted the outcome of the match before it was even played.
‘I said to the players, “this is going to be a tough game of small margins” and again it is like I am predicting things,’ Malesela said after the match.
‘I thought one team that slips up will end up losing the match, or it will end as a draw. Small margins.’
Malesela admits that he was disappointed in his side to have conceded a goal but insist that they will work hard to redeem themselves in their next match against Highlands Park.
‘I am only disappointed with how the goal came, I mean, if you call that a foul in this game, then … what else is football?’ He added.
‘We just have to prepare ourselves for the next game. We never hit the best of our game and it was also difficult with the surface being very, very wet.
‘But you can’t help it, if it rains, it rains, you just have to play.’
Chippa United will be hoping to bounce back when they take on Highlands Park at the Buffalo City Stadium on Saturday.
Kick-off has been set for 15:30.
