Chippa United coach Dan Malesela insists that his side needs to regain their confidence and start playing their normal game in order to turn their season around.
The Chilli Boys recently fell to a 1-0 defeat against Orlando Pirates through a goal by the Absa Premiership’s leading goal scorer Tendai Ndoro.
The Chilli Boys dominated the game in the middle of the park as projected, but once again failing to convert their chances, which has been the problem for them for the last 5 games.
The 51-year-old coach says he is confident his side will start improving their performance and he also revealed that they are working hard to improve defensively.
‘Slowly we are getting there, once the players understand each other, things will get better,’ Malesela told the Chippa United website.
‘We also have a challenge, in terms of fixing the little errors at the back which are not necessary at times. We need to regain our confidence and start playing our normal game again. We must improve in defence.’
Chippa United will now face Maritzburg United at the Harry Gwala Stadium on Tuesday. Kickoff is at 19h30.
Kick-off has been set for 19:30.
