Chippa United coach Dan Malesela will be hoping his side will bounce back following their 1-0 defeat against Golden Arrows in the Absa Premiership.
The Chilli Boys suffered their first defeat in the Absa Premiership this season following their defeat against Arrows at Princess Magogo Stadium with Vuyani Ntanga’s 65th minute proving to be the difference.
The 51-year-old coach says he was disappointed that his side did not turn their possession into a goal, declaring that Chippa could not convert their chances in front of goal.
‘I am not happy that we did not turn our possession into goals. We seemed a bit slow in the first half, I’m not sure if it was because of heat,’ Malesela said.
‘We will continue playing our way, though, and you can see the confidence the lads have on the ball.
‘The idea is to keep the ball as long as we can, and open up the opposing team, and today when we did we did not convert our chances.
Malesela insists that his side has to work hard during training to improve their performance ahead of the next match against Highlands Park.
‘We must continue to improve, and we have a couple of days to work on our back in PE before our next game,’ he added.
Chippa United will now turn their attention to the Telkom Knockout when they take on Highlands Park on Friday.
The match at Makhulong Stadium kicks off at 20:00.
