Kaizer Chiefs will reportedly have to offer as much as R2-million for Meshack Maphangule if they hope to steal him away from Black Leopards.
The Glamour Boys have been frustrated in their attempts to sign key players this transfer window as both Sello Japhta and Justice Chabalala opted to join rivals Orlando Pirates.
The club has also been frustrated in the race to sign Sibusio Vilakazi as they bulked at the player’s R10-million asking price.
Now, Chiefs have turned their attention to the signing of Leopards star Maphangule. The midfielder is a key part of NFD side, however, and it will allegedly take a bid in the region of R2 million to persuade the club to part with the star.
Whether or not Chiefs are willing to meet that validation for the 24-year-old remains to be seen.
The player made 18 appearances for Black Leopards in the NFD last term.
