Maritzburg United chairman Farouk Kadodia has confirmed PUMA as the club’s new sponsor ahead of the new season.

The Team of Choice have recently parted ways with former sponsor Umbro and formed a new partnership with Puma for the 2016-17 season explains Kadodia.

‘Puma is our partners now and it is not a sponsorship,’ Kadodia told KickOff.com.

‘Puma are our partners and they will be selling our stuff [in stores].’

‘Basically, Umbro was a little difficult for us and we decided to part ways because they wanted us to buy everything for our uniform,’ he added.

The Team of Choice managed to escape relegation last season, finishing 14th in the Absa Premiership after their 3-1 victory over Jomo Cosmos in their last match of the season.
