Kaizer Chiefs defender Erick Mathoho says he is relishing the chance to make his way back into the squad after he was sidelined with a groin injury.
The Bafana Bafana defender recently sustained an injury to his groin after he limped off during his side’s 1-1 draw with SuperSport United last month.
The 26-year-old who missed Amakhosi’s last two games has now gone on to say that he is looking forward to returning to the squad after he returned to training with the first team.
‘I’m feeling better and hope to play some role on Wednesday,’ Mathoho told the Kaizer Chiefs website.
‘It is always difficult to watch from the sidelines, especially when the team is not doing well. I want to be part of the battle in the park to contribute to us getting back on track.’
Kaizer Chiefs will now welcome Bloemfontein Celtic to the FNB Stadium in the Absa Premiership on Wednesday night.
Kick-off has been scheduled for 19:30.
