Mbombela United have completed the signing of midfielder Clifford Mulenga after impressing while on trial at the club.
The 29-year-old spent the second half of last season with Moroka Swallows and then left the National First Division side after being relegated to the ABC Motsepe League, reports KickOff.com.
Mbombela co-chairman Oupa Matsebula has confirmed the signing of the Zambian to bolster their midfield for the 2016-17 season.
‘We have brought in Clifford and he will be part of the team this season,’ Matsebula said.
Over the career of his career in South Africa, Mulenga has scored 23 times and assists a further 19 from 130 appearances in all competitions playing for the likes of AmaTuks, Bidvest Wits, Thanda Royal Zulu, Mpumalanga Black Aces, Bloemfontein Celtic, SuperSport United and Ajax Cape Town.
Mbombela have also recently confirmed the signing of Matome Mabeba and Thamsanqa Ngema from Highlands Park and African Warriors FC
