Mpumalanga Black Aces youngster Aubrey Modiba has reportedly caught the eyes of three big name Absa Premiership clubs.
The 20-year-old who recently picked up the Absa Premiership Young Player of the Season award following his impressive performance this season for AmaZayoni, since joining the senior team in January 2015.
Aces Coach Muhsin Ertugral has told Goal that a move at this time will be too soon because he, along with Thabo Nodada, has not yet completed their ‘education processes’ as young players.
‘It will be too soon because he (Modiba) played only 20 games and a couple of more athletic games this season as has Thabo Nodada,’ Ertugral said.
‘The process of these young players is the education part. The process is not finished. They need to be much more stable to be at top clubs.’
The 56-year-old coach revealed that in order for Modiba to move forward in his career, he will need to be more consistency and have stability in his performance.
‘The challenge is that every weekend you need to be able to produce the top performances for top games which they are called up for and that means they will have to be more stable, (which) they are not,’ Ertugral added.
‘I see that it is too early and we are not going to release anyone of these youngsters (now). It might be next season, but not now.’
