Mamelodi Sundowns have revealed the arrival of Lucky Mohomi is yet to be finalised but remain optimistic a deal is imminent.
Downs have already met the asking price for the Free State Stars midfielder and have reportedly also reached an agreement over personal terms. 25-year-old has, however, yet to undergo a medical at the club
‘There has been an agreement between the two clubs Free State Stars and Mamelodi Sundowns,’ Sundowns chief executive Sizwe Ndzimande told KickOff.
‘There has also been an agreement with the player on his personal terms and we are now busy with the paperwork of registering him as a Mamelodi Sundowns player.’
‘In actual fact, there are things like medicals that still need to be done but it is the last touches,’ Ndzimande confirmed.
Ndzimande has revealed Mohomi could even be registered for The Brazilians’ Caf Champions League squad for next season given the side has four slots yet to fill and registration remains open until August 10.
‘It is tricky with registering for Africa because you have a set number of slots and you are limited in the total number of players that you can register in that you only register 30,’ Ndzimande clarified.
