The 36-year-old Monyai has had limited game-time since Shaun Bartlett took over the coaching reins at the newly-relegated club and the player has now confirmed he has called time on his career.

The player’s last game for the club will be on Wednesday when Tuks take on Highlands Park in Tshwane. The match is effectively meaningless given relegation and promotion has already been determined.

‘We still have a game to play on Wednesday. That would be my last game as a player. I will be meeting with the management soon to map a way forward. I am ready to stay in the club but in a different role,’ told Monyai KickOff.

Monyai made 11 appearances for Tuks in all competitions this past season. He also made a solitary appearance for the national team back in 2010.
