Bloemfontein Celtic will reportedly prevent star player Thapelo Morena from exiting the club to join the likes of Kaizer Chiefs or Mamelodi Sundowns.
According to the player’s agent Tim Sukazi, the 23-year-old is keen on growing and developing his game by joining one of the countries biggest clubs.
Celtic, on the other hand, are determined to keep hold of the U-23 star and have made it known they will not entertain bids for his signature.
‘Celtic have a prerogative for the transfer of Thapelo Morena, the player is currently contracted to them and unfortunately he will need to honour his contract,’ Sukazi told KickOff.
‘Like any player he will want to grow and develop his game by joining a big club, but unfortunately it’s not in his hands, it is more in Celtic’s hands.’
Sukazi also suggested the likes of Chiefs and Downs had expressed interest in his client.
‘Both clubs went as far as engaging Bloemfontein Celtic in the matter, but unfortunately the club was not prepared to sell,’ Sukazi added.
Morena made 27 appearances for Celtic in the Premiership last term, scoring six times and assiting once.
