The 23-year-old played a critical role in Bloemfontein Celtic’s Absa Premiership campaign last season, netting six goals and creating one from 27 appearances, helping his side to an 11th place finish in the PSL.
The announcement ends speculation about the future of the player, who penned a five-year deal with the Champions. Several PSL clubs were said to be after his signature, reports the Mamelodi Sundowns website.
Morena will now join Lucky Mohomi and Sibusiso Vilakazi as new signings to strengthen Pitso Mosimane side for the upcoming season.
The U23 midfielder will be joining his new team-mates as Sundowns prepares for their Caf Champions League clash against Enyimba on August 23.
The midfielder might feature in the squad if Mosimane decides to register him for the current Caf campaign, with Keagan Dolly out injured after sustaining a hamstring strain playing for the South African Olympic squad in Brazil.
