Alexandra Black Aces chairmen Mario Morfou says he is disappointed by the allegations in the media that Chicken Inn have gone to FIFA for compensation over the transfer of Tendai Ndoro.
Over the weekend, the media reported that Aces owe Chicken Inn 30% of the transfer fee after Tendai Ndoro was sold to Orlando Pirates in June 2015.
However, the Zimbabwean side claimed that when the striker was sold to Black Aces in 2013, a clause was written into the contract stating that the Bulawayo-based team would receive 30% of any future move made by the player, within a five-year period.
The matter was heard by Fifa with the ruling in favour of Amazayoni who have been cleared of any wrongdoing by the governing body.
Mario Morfou revealed that Chicken Inn were given 10 days to appeal the decision and also ordered to pay the legal cost after losing the case. Chicken Inn were ordered to pay Fifa R200 000 for the costs of the hearing.
‘The matter between Aces, Ndoro and Chicken Inn was cleared by FIFA late last year. The claimant was given 10 days to appeal the decision and according to our knowledge they never did, meaning they accepted the ruling made by FIFA last November,’ Morfou said.
‘The stories published over the weekend are one-sided and Aces doesn’t owe Chicken Inn any money as everything was done by the book.’
