Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane was impressed by attacking midfielder Percy Tau’s performance against Highlands Park on Sunday.
The 22-year-old gave a man-of-the-match performance with netting a goal and creating three assists in his side’s 5-0 victory.
‘I must congratulate Percy, I think he’s growing in leaps and bounds – it’s scary,’ Mosimane said after the match.
‘I’m happy he scored – he’s been doing everything but scoring, but now he scored today and that’s what he needs to do. He’s amazing, he’s unbelievable.’
The former Bafana Bafana coach believes the midfielder’s ability to stay grounded coupled with hard work helped him produce another fine performance.
‘I thought when we don’t have the CBD on the pitch, we’ll struggle a little, but Percy comes out and rises above at the age of 22.
‘He’s right when he says he studies the opponents, he’s telling the truth. He’s level-headed, works very hard on his game.’
Mamelodi Sundowns travel to Cape Town Stadium to take on Ajax Cape Town in the Absa Premiership on Wednesday.
Kick-off has been set for 19:30.
