Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane believes playmaker Sibusiso Vilakazi will rediscover his form this season.
The 26-year-old, who moved for big money to Sundowns from Bidvest Wits this season, was one of the players that missed a penalty during his side’s 3-1 defeat to SuperSport United in the Telkom Knockout quarter-finals.
The former Bafana Bafana coach says that he is invested in helping and supporting Vilakazi rediscover his form at his new club.
‘When you bring a new player into the team, you need to nurture them,’ Mosimane said.
‘You need to make sure you support them and the best time to support is during days like this.
‘Imagine you don’t show support to “Vila”, then you are killing the boy. You need to support him and tell him we didn’t buy you for one match or one year. We bought him for the next three to four years.’
When the Absa Premiership returns, Mamelodi Sundowns will lock horns with Kaizer Chiefs in what is expected to be an enticing clash at Loftus Versfeld Stadium on 19 November.
Kick-off has been set for 15:30.
