Ajax Cape Town midfielder Bantu Mzwakali believes the signing of Mark Mayambela and Thabo Mosadi has played a crucial role in his side’s turnaround in form this season.
The Urban Warriors forced their way out of relegation following three consecutive victories over Platinum Stars, Mamelodi Sundowns, and Golden Arrows and are now 11th in the Absa Premiership standings with 12 points.
The 23-year-old says he is delighted with the arrivals of Mark Mayambela and Thabo Mosadi at the club and he believes they have become a real asset to the team this season.
‘I think it was a good idea to bring the guys to the club. They brought a different dimension to the team and everyone can see it,’ Mzwakali said.
‘They have pace, trickery, good vision and can push the team to play. We do understand them and you can see we have changed now.
Mzwakali says he was more than delighted to have signed for the Urban Warriors again but also insisted that his side will continue to work on their current form heading into the new year.
‘On the other hand, the coach [Menzo] is also someone who worked with our minds and the results are there. I am happy to be an Ajax player once again,’ He added.
‘However, the mission is to remain disciplined for us to keep winning our games – that’s very important now as we head to the Christmas break.’
Ajax Cape Town will next take on travel to Makhulong Stadium when they play Highlands Park in the Absa Premiership on Wednesday.
Kick-off has been scheduled for 19:30.
