Ajax Cape Town midfielder Bantu Mzwakali says his side has to take responsibility and step up their game following their form this season in the Absa Premiership.
The 22-year-old, who has made his eight appearances this season, was named man of the match for his performance against SuperSport United following their 2-0 defeat on Saturday.
Although disappointed with the outcome, Mzwakali is confident that his side can overcome their recent form and turn their season around, as they search for their first win.
‘I think we tried our best especially in the final third, we just failed to use our chances,’ Mzwakali told the Ajax Cape Town website.
‘We are not going to give up, we will keep on pushing and we know that something will come up.’
The former Ajax youth product insists that the Urban Warriors should man up.
‘As football players, we should take responsibility, each and everyone needs to step up for the team; if we are all able to do that then it will all be okay.’
The Urban Warriors’ next league assignment is away on Wednesday at Goble Park Stadium against Free State Stars.
