Orlando Pirates striker Tendai Ndoro says the Buccaneers are well prepared for the new season and are relishing the chance to get their 2016-17 campaign underway.
The 28-year-old was one of the Buccaneers standout performers during a disappointing season which saw them finish 7th in the Absa Premiership.
Ndoro insists that he is already looking forward to starting the upcoming season with the Sea Robbers.
‘We are ready. Everyone is shaping up. We are excited that we are getting closer to the games so we are ready,’ Ndoro told KickOff.com.
‘Normally I don’t like to set myself targets, all I want is for the team, success of the team.’
The former Mpumalanga Black Aces forward revealed that he is relishing the chance to playing alongside fellow striker Thamsanqa Gabuza.
‘In football as players, we don’t have to choose whom must I play with but if the coach wants a certain combination, it’s up to us, me and Gabuza, to combine. We have so many things to talk about with Gabuza so we have to work together, there are no choices,’ he added.
Orlando Pirates will go head-to-head with Kaizer Chiefs when the two sides clash in the Carling Black Label Champion Cup on Saturday.
The match at the FNB Stadium kicks off at 15:00.
